A Different View

Shards of life
Looking back from the strange angles
Bits and pieces making some macabre picture
Picasso-istic views of something that never was

There is no explaining
To those that have never lived it
There will never be an understanding
A house of mirrors with no beginning or end

Mis-interpretations
Who is to say what is right or wrong
A reality obscured by illusions
You can see it.. but it isn't really there

------- Author's Notes -------

A friend recently reminded me of raising a child with a psychosis. It was a long time ago but it is also never far from my thoughts. To those living with children who have to live with schizophrenia or any illness with psychotic tendencies my heart goes out to you. It is a long, hard, lonely road, one that no one can comprehend unless you've lived it.
