Old Friends
21 November, 2009

It was a long time ago when we were friends
Times were different, and we were too
Naive in some ways, but in others not
A special friend not just a one night lover

Going our separate ways we survived
You became the wild one, me more tame
Roads we traveled have made us who we are
Underneath we are the same as we ever were

Missing from each others lives, time continued
Directions not always going the right ways
Are we now who we thought we would be
Our hard lessons now learned, we've moved on

Our paths have crossed once again
Perhaps together we can walk once more
Remembering the past and presenting a future
With memories of then, and new ones of now

------- Author's Notes -------

The internet is a wonderful place. Finding old friends and the memories that go with them. Facebook brought me in touch with a old friend tonight. and Ooooooh the memories.
