Grief Stridden
22 November, 2009
Author: P K Padhy

Thick viscous drops of tear
I swallow
To subside the
Burns of sorrow.
The run-off,
The lonely companion
Of my tired swollen eyes,
Escapes my inner vision
In search of the sun in dark.
“Is death a gift of sacrifice
For taking a rebirth?”
