Revisited Past
1 December, 2009
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

Still waters run deep, but underneath life still exists
Past submerged and lost now lives again, yet different
Any disturbance brings forth to the surface
The most slight hints of what was hidden beneath

Is it better to let it lay undisturbed where it is
Or to try to recapture the treasures of long ago
Disturbing what is now a different fragile life
Is the treasure worth the cost to revisit the past

Splendid

Possibly there is worth revisiting the past. The situation is narrated with utmost emotion. I liked the imageries painted in the poem. The last line spells out the wealth of emotion and sublime affection.
