Smoky Eyes

Smoky eyes -
slightly closed-
open to the world around
and beyond.

Eyes that swim
in other dimensions
of experience - of thought.
Eyes that behold
images and scenes
with acute details.
Eyes that look at
other peoples eyes...

His gaze grasps her,
holds her to the spot,
to her thought,
not looking into her -
almost,
one second away from
connection.

She notices this.
It is a teasing glance,
almost deep,
gazing into destiny,
into the scenery behind her.

It is a seductive look,
a sensual look,
almost catching her eyes -
almost connecting...

He does it almost on purpose.
His smoky eyes
touch her,
without touching,
tease,
without flirting.

He blinks
and keeps walking.

She exhales...

mmmmm

The eyes have it.. They say it, they are the windows that open your soul...

I really like the feeling of this one PR. I am her I am seeing from the eyes of the observer. It takes me where it wants me to be..

I know him.

Great write..

huh

This is a very interesting write. I benefitted from multiple readings, because it's subtle what the piece is about. You're a good writer.
