I stare at words I once wrote for you
I can't believe they once caused pain
It's humiliating how much I loved you
But I'm proud of the strength I've since gained

My eyes no longer tear up for you
And my tender soul no longer cries
I really was a fool to carry on for so long
Thankfully, with time, a lost love has died

All the words I once wrote for you
They'll now sit silently in the past
I recently realized I've truly moved on
And breathe just fine without you at last
