A Rose Will Always Be A Rose

you write: "I know what dreams are about,
i just don't want you to turn them into nightmares
because they cannot be."

and I reply...

"Nightmares?
Never.... sometimes when I write, I close my eyes,
so that my imagination may meet memory in the dark.

... pleasant sensations within the corridors of memory,
warm lighting, as from sunlight in an early morning in spring,
soft and exciting emotions from the depths of my heart...
all of these things,
and more,
are there for me when I think of you, even now,
as they once were all those long years before...
but they will not become nightmares.

You cannot make a thing of beauty into something ugly,
you cannot change good to bad.
You will never become a regret to me,
even though you will likely never become anything else to me,
other than what you are now...

You will never be a nightmare.
Thoughts of you will never be a bad dream.
And should I dream of you,
I will always waken with a smile
on my lips, in my mind, and in my heart.

A rose will always be a rose,- nothing less."

Awesome beautiful...

This poem was so beautiful as it arrived to the end. The ending was simply exquisite, and romantic in thought. Lovely, just lovely; keep up the writing!
