The Mighty Have Fallen
4 April, 2010

No longer on a pedestal
Someone has kicked the leg out
No longer seen in perfection
Oh how the mighty have fallen

Human desires have ruined me
Needs unfulfilled, seeked out
Destroying the only truth
Finding it is possible to love two

Can I turn my back on the truth
Looking back to what was missing
It's missing still, can I live with that
Leaving what I need behind

I've opened Pandora's box
I now know what was missing
Now I will miss it forever
How can I live without it now

I make a list of the positives
So many except the ones I need most
To feel wanted and desired, important
I must have appreciation for my worth

Something Diamonds can't buy
