He works baring the pain it causes his body. He thinks about the everyday stresses. How he will survive till the next pay check, if he will have work again tomorrow.

On a faraway deck she sits alone. Her iPod playing music that stimulates her romantic nature. It's too cold to be sitting out in her dressing gown.

She thoughtlessly adds chemicals to the hot tub. The soothing waters undulating in her background. She thinks of him endlessly. Her mind seems a million miles away. Wondering how her life would be with him.

A tendril of hair escapes, blowing in the un-threatening gentle breeze across her face. She doesn't move to push it away. She remembers how he pushed it away and the look of love in his eyes. The feeling of complete bliss she felt at the moment.

A tear escaped her eye as she thought of their situation. Not what either of them wanted or had ever expected. She loved him like no other. Her life was changed and there was no turning back nor did she want to. She wanted him more than she ever wanted anything in her life. But there was her fear. It held her where she was.

His mind was free to wander as he rolled the paint on the wall. He hated the situation he was in. He wanted to be secure enough to tell her now was the time. He wanted her too. He was scared of their love. He never expected it to go this far.

He never wanted to put another man in the place he had been. The pain of loss so destroying to a man. He knew what that man would be losing. But his loss was his gain. He didn't treat her right. He wondered what she was doing. What her life was like. He pushed away the thoughts of her in anothers arms. He thought of her being in his.

She again listened to the song on her iPod for the third time. She barely noticed; her mind was 325 miles away. Holding on to the warmth of thoughts that they would be together again soon. The days moved too slowly.

She wanted to be lost in her thoughts. It felt good here. She missed him totally. He was the missing part of her.

She stood up and added more chemicals thoughtlessly. She loosened her hair setting it free in the breeze. It blew back away from her face. Her dressing gown blowing back hugging her body's shape beneath it. She shivered in the cold wind. She knew she should not be out in the cold but she didn't care. She was here in her peaceful place of contemplation.

She wondered if he was feeling better today he was feeling sick yesterday. She hoped he was feeling better. She was looking forward to seeing his new place. She knew it would be so small compared to where he was. But alternatives for him were not good. It had to be this way for now. She knew it was probably for the best. For now. He needed time and she did too.

They were new to each other again. It was exciting. It felt right but they both knew it was full of obstacles.

Running her finger across her lips she contemplated texting him. Deciding to do it. She wanted him to know he was in her mind. Like he ever left it for more than a minute. For she was in love.

He heard the familiar tone on his phone. He knew, now was not the time for distractions. He made a quick response that he was working. He knew that was enough for now. He read her message and smiled. In his heart he knew he loved her.

He dipped his roller again in the tray. His thoughts went back to how much packing he still had to do tonight.

The song she enjoyed now played for the 5th time. She checked the hot tub chemicals one last time closed the lid of the hot tub and went in to face her day.
