Faith is defined as:
"The substance of things hoped for
And the evidence of things not seen."

But faith is so much more than that
Faith is what gets you out of bed in the morning
And makes the dark times seem brighter

Faith can be in an "All Powerful Entity",
Whatever you choose to name it
Or it can be in your felow man
That goodness will win out in the end

No matter what you have faith in,
We all have faith
Without faith there would be no reason
To believe in anything

In the worst of times
We have faith that it will get better,
Even the most cynical of us, and at times we are all that person,
Believes that things will always get better

In the best of times it is that faith
That allows us to believe more good times are yet to come
Faith cannot be seen or quantified,
But there it is, always just below the surface

The Spanish Proverb says:
"It is always darkest just before the dawn"
It is faith that allows us to see
That the dawn is never too far away
And that darkness will always lift

A line from the TV show "The West Wing" once said:
"Act as if ye have faith and faith will be given to you"
Faith is ever present in all of us
Sometimes we just need to dig deep
To find where it is hiding
