Life has a way of showing you
Just what is meant to be
One day you are on top of the world looking down
And the next you are at the bottom looking straight up

Fortunately for all of us
Tomorrow has a way of changing things again
Maybe in your favor, maybe not

Humility is defined as,
"A modest assessment of one's own worth"
Life has a way of proving...over and over again...
Just what your worth truly is

A Hasidic saying says:
"The man who thinks he can live without others is mistaken;
The one who thinks others can't live without him is even more deluded"
We are all here to live with each other,
No one person more important than another

If you live your life with humility
The world will take notice
And you will get all that you deserve
It may not be in the time you want,
But all you can do is live your life
To the best of your knowledge and abilities
And allow the world to determine your worth

Niccolo Machiavelli wrote:
"It is not the titles that honor men, but men that honor the tiles"
Live your life so that others give you the titles
And you don't feel the need to give them to yourself

However, humility can only carry you so far...
Be sure to accept praise when offered,
But do not allow it to change the person that you truly are
For you cannot change the true you
And you should never feel the need to compromise
The true you for anyone or anything

Always remember this...
Those who matter don't mind,
And those that mind don't matter
