I Am, We Are

I am
breathing -
meditating to breathe better,
the right way

and when i sit
in repose,
i enter
spaces
where my breath
is in rhythm
with the spaces of the room
and beyond -

which draw closer
and closer
and my breathing
starts to flow in synchronicity
with the natural energys
and forces of the
breathing rythmns
of other meditators,
who together form a circular unity
with the cycles of nature
and oceans waves,
splashing into high tides,
circling the earth
on the many beaches and land formations,
islands, and continents.

i sit -
trying not to try,
to think, to not think,
to push away gently
my thoughts,
to deal with what thoughts
of fear
explode or enter
my way to freeing myself
from my fears and guilts.

breathe slowly,
almost not noticabely
into a new freedom,
into a healthy strong body
and spirit.

as the sounds of rain drops
pellet the windows,
at first faint in the background,
they pound the glass and echoe
loudly -
the beating of sound vibrations,
almost a chant,
a mantra of nature,
natural aums
slapping my windows,
as i am taken away
to forests and deep jungles.

warmth permeates through my
stressed body,
now loose and relaxed.
i am floating in my sunlight beams
that have come out from the skies
and paint
the walls and floors
with light
and then i ascend into the shadows
of velvet darkness
where i am conforted by the soothing
calmess of no distractions.

now and then -
now is then and now
i sit and my breath
softly cleanses my body
and my mind
and i collapse lightly
into a horizontal yoga asana.
sleep overtakes me.
the rain drops and drips
streaming tears
through the cracks of my broken window
and as i sleep
water trickles onto my feet...

meditation in the rain

I know the feeling you speak of listening to the rain meditating and letting the mind ease into a place away from the realities that surround.

Your works of art always take me there. Thank-you for sharing this. I do so enjoy your work...
