Tainted Cries
29 September, 2010

Laying lifeless on
a cold white sheet
as long fingers
creep into my dreams

Whispers in darkness
creep over my body
invading my innocence

Tainted cries
circle my room
suffocating my freedom

Wounds inflicted from
long-ago haunt me in
the darkened hours

Screams still
echo through these
crimson halls

As the night rapes
my mind once again.

awesome imagery

This is an excellent poem about a delicate subject. It is very well written. Your descriptive imagery is amazing.
