Parade (6/13/86)
1 April, 2011
Author: John Feddeler

vinebar

I went to 'Nam in '67,
Came home in '68.
Today the city gave
A welcome home parade,
18 years too late.

"These vets are heroes, every one;
They are men we're proud to know."
No one ever told me that
18 years ago.

------- Author's Notes -------

This parade was held in Chicago in 1986. Better late than
never, I guess.
