Confidence

You can do it
Put your mind to it
Go for what you want
Go for what you need
Be assertive
Let your mind feed
On the positive
Say yes I can
Say yes I will
Say I can make it
If it be God’s will
Say I can have it
It’s mine for the taking
Say I’m a success
In the making
Not saying I’m not a success currently
But with my two eyes, I must see
Myself coming out
Myself being strong
Physically
Mentally
Emotionally
Spiritually
Confidence should be in my walk
Confidence should be in my talk
How I move, what I say
I should be confident in every way
Come what may
If not every day
Butterflies gon’ have to fly elsewhere
My stomach ain’t holding ‘em
Nerves got to get back
As well as anxiety attacks
Get lax and slack off
Chin must be titled up
But not with pride
My shoulders ain’t carrying no chips
But optimism must be a part of my stride
Determination must be a part of my attitude
Got to transition into a confident mood
Eyes keen, not taking no for an answer
‘Cause nerves eat away like cancer
Grow girl, grow, be firm and don’t dare let go
Get from under that person’s shoe
Do what you envision, go after and pursue
Bend but don’t break
Hold fast, don’t snap in two
Make those day and night dreams come true
Put confidence in practice now
Before you get old and gray
Because it’ll be too late then
Your entire life will have wasted away
