Patience

You walk slow
Drive slow
Blatantly
Being nosy
Seeing who’s driving
Taking your sweet time
Seeing who’s walking
Sometimes you’re talking
In the middle of the street
You
Do
This
Every
Single
Time
A
Vehicle
Comes
It would be nice
If you got out of the way
Instead of blatantly
Taking all day
It would be nice
If you had courtesy
Patience is a virtue
I am trying to value
I am trying to wait
For you
You and your posse too
Why do you do this
Every single time
Why don’t you get tired
Of inconsideration
Why don’t you get tired
Of not caring
What you do is daring
Not everybody’s fuse is long
Not everybody’s nice
Not everybody can wait that long
Not everybody will think twice
It is terrible
I know
But sometimes
When it’s blatant
Anger is understood
I will wait
Although my fuse isn’t so great
Purposely and blatantly
Is all I see
Like an
“I dare you to hit me”
Attitude
So as I conclude
My feelings
About the value I want to have and keep
Don’t want to be a wolf
While claiming the identity of a sheep
Patience goes a long way
For whatever or whoever you’re waiting for
It pays to calm down
Breathe easy, inhale and exhale
Don’t want these chapters
To tell the story of a sad tale
Don’t want to wish I had waited
In the end
Though the voice is talking me
To make a move
I must learn to rebuke and reprove
And not give in
