Talk To Me
3 September, 2011

I listen to the percussion
And the percussion and I
Have a discussion
It plays my feelings
My emotions are in the main tune
My attitude is in the beat
Whether I’m feeling
Triumphant or defeat

Talk to me
Tell me how you feel
Make my hands raise
Matter of fact
Don’t hold back
Play what God designed my hands to do
My fingers to do
When I feel ugly
I release my pain to a few
Through keyboard
Through my chords
You can hear my tears
You can hear my frustration
You can see the window to my soul
The tune makes it all unfold

I get a little bold
Because I’m stressed
Depressed
And once again I’m to blame
For being in this mess
So I create the tempo
And let the percussion flow
Nod my head
Like there’s no tomorrow
Look out the window, rocking
Moving from side to side
Music makes me smile wide

Hear me cry
See me fly
I’m running up and down these keys
Until my heart is pleased
After receiving a tough blow
My heart’s desire seems to be
Too slow
So I add tune after tune
Until the track is complete
Trying to resurrect
After suffering defeat
Satisfaction escalates
Once I press repeat

Love it!

It's so true, music can heal, there's a song for every emotion
