FROM NATE:
I dont know what I'd do without you mamma, I know I gave you hell growin' up and I'm sorry. You deserved a better son and I wish I could take it all back and I know I'll never be able to repay you for the life you gave me, and how much I regret the pain I put you through, but you are my heart and soul, I'm nothing without you and Donovan, we are all we got, all we had, and all we'll be. If you go I'm right behind ya.

TO NATE:
I don't regret ONE minute of all the years so far....things happen for a reason and sometimes I feel like I am the one who short changed you and Donovan by making the choice to have you and raise you alone, but if an angel came down from heaven and offered me a DO OVER...I would DO IT JUST THE SAME, accept I would have made your dad more accountable, that is where I fell short, and THAT is my only regret. You don't bring your children into the world looking for a pay back. You love them as much as you can, teach them as much as you know how, and support them no matter what path they go down. The pain YOU think you put me through is the pain YOU were going through, a pain I couldn't help you with no matter how hard I tried, a pain that I may have been responsible for because of the choice I made to be a Mom. We are in this life TOGETHER now and forever, like the parable goes....If you twist 2 pieces of thread together you can break it...twist 3 together and it cannot be broken....that's us You < Me > Donovan. Just for the record,
I don't plan on going anywhere soon, unless you mean getting the HELL out of NY the first chance I get and I expect you both to be behind me then, but when my time comes, I want you to live your lives in celebration of mine.

------- Author's Notes -------

This was a back and forth between me and my youngest son after I had posted something sentimental about how we feel about moms as we grow and mature. This was his response to me when he read it and my response back. I wanted it documented so I hope you appreciate it if you see it.

Very nice

Touching Wyld. Personal writings evoke emotion. I love when I see something uncommon.
