The Flood (excited Self-expression)

OMG is all I've got to say
At how you think you can’t provoke
How you don’t expect
The person under subjection to get mad
I can provoke and so can you
But how irritating
That you can’t see this or understand
My point of view
The only reason why I said what
I wish I didn’t say
Was
Because
Of your insults

How can you expect a person
Under subjection
To give you respect
When sometimes you don’t earn respect
With all due respect
Consideration
Is what you neglect
As long as the feelings
That are hurt aren’t yours
You could care less
And you expect me
To tolerate
(Gulp)
This mess

Excuse me
I confess
That I get excited
When I express
How can you expect
Someone to hold in
What’s dying
To come out
Because of you
And your mouth

Authority is not an excuse
To have bad manners
To say anything and everything
To anybody and everybody
It’s crazy how
You don’t expect a reaction
To your action
To tolerate the intolerable
Is hard to do
How can you NOT expect
Someone to FINISH what you START
To snap, to explode
To go beast mode

Respect works both ways
Age ain’t got nothing to do with nothing
Some things we just don’t say
Not all advice is advice
Not all criticism is constructive
Not all words should reach the ear
Some are cruel to hear
But to expect me to take what I can’t
What I know you can’t
If done to you
To expect me not to get angry
And fly off the handle
At something you’ve done, you’ve said
No wonder I didn’t come about it
In the right way
If you stop being inconsiderate
Then my attitude would be
As calm as the sea
But don’t put it all on me
Because it takes two
For one to get angry
