The Evening Glow

Father open our eyes our hearts and our minds
that we might learn to appreciate the beauty of the universe
that abounds us.

Lord the earth is your sculpture, the heavens are your
canvass, the sun is your smile, the stars are your eyes
the raindrops are your tears and your promise is in the colors of the rainbow.

Never have i seen you, but the proof of your existence is all around me.
You have ordered my steps and you walk with me daily,
to some it might appear that i am all alone,
but i know it is you who is always by my side.

You are the morning and the evening star, you are the promise in a rainbow,
you are my hope in the midst of my hopelessness...
Lord you are, the evening glow.

contradiction

Hey Crayton. "Lost" and "Evening Glow" seem to contradict each other. In Lost, you want proof that God exists, but in this one, you say He does.

All in all, enjoyed both poems. Love the way you write. It is definitely hard praying to a God I cannot see, but deep down I know He does. I try to stay away from religious discussions, because there's always a debate. I'm forever learning about God; He's mysterious.
