Autumn In May....

It's been a long, tiring week.
A week ago today it started to go downhill,
then it went to hell rather quickly after that.
I'm still not quite sure where I'm at;
mentally, emotionally,- or how hurt, or how angry I am.
I haven't had time to sort it out yet.
And I know that I don't want to think about it yet, either.
Numb?
Yeah.... like back in the day, right after a breakup numb...
not understanding anything,
just wanting to cry out with a great, gasping primal scream!
Needing to violently express my emotions in screams and shouts
and hot, blistering tears!
It wouldn't do any good,
but then, maybe, it would just feel good,
to let the emotions take over, for just a moment or two,
to mentally flail against the fates,
to curse them and to hurl useless verbal slings and arrows
at the Nothing that is there,
...that has taken away my heart.

Autumn....

Autumn was a beautiful orange tabby, who died much too young. All the other cats here are still looking for him, as we are still crying for him.... he is at Rainbow Bridge now, waiting for us. One day...

he was my best friend....

Autumn left this world in the early hours of 19 May... when he left, he took a little piece of my heart with him, to keep him company.
