I Smile

Lead:
It was on a Friday
I already knew I was on my way (yeah)
There was nothing more that I could do
(After all I gave it my best)
My best times two

I didn’t know God could suddenly
(Turn my worse into happiness)
I didn’t expect it at all
(But it felt good nonetheless)
God was right on time
(When I needed him most)
‘Cause at the worst time of my life
I needed a joy overdose

Ladies:
I smile – Chorus
I find it so strange – Lead
I smile – Chorus
Although I’m in pain – Lead
I smile – Chorus
And I don’t feel good – Lead
It’s weird but I know
That this glow was for me
To live life happily

Lead:
Everything I worked so hard for
Didn’t come to fruition
But that’s all right
I’ll be all right
God must’ve had something else in mind
Another destiny perhaps
A blessing all mine

Ladies:
I smile
I find it so strange
I smile
Although I’m in pain
I smile
And I don’t feel good
It’s weird but I know
That this glow
Was for me
To live life happily

------- Author's Notes -------

Supposed to be a song. But I had to change the lyrics to fit the tune, so now this version is a poem.
