The Snow Falls....

The snow is falling softly,
gently,
as if each snowflake
was being carried to earth
by an unseen angel,
and gently laid upon the others.
The air is filled with these
pretty bits of white,
and watching this is like
watching a movie -
One of those old movies,
filled with love, and wonder and happiness.
I have even seen a Blue Jay in the firs,
and the treetops are softly covered
with an icing-like appearance,
as are the rooftops.
No one is about at the moment,
leaving the scene quiet
and undisturbed-..
It is quite like looking into
an old snow globe.

I hate snow globes.
