I Used To Dream
16 August, 2014

I used to dream all the time
I haven't the time these days
a world filled with such busy-ness
a world filled with so much demand

I used to write with freedom
I haven't much freedom these days
a world filled with rules to follow
a world filled so much command

I used to smile all the time
I haven't smiled as much lately
a world filled with such anger
a world filled with such dismay

I used to laugh all the time
I haven't enjoyed a laugh much lately
a world like ours isn't funny
a world like this sucks us dry

I used to dream all the time
I haven't found much to dream about lately
a world filled with such non-sense
a world... that's just not as nice
