A Temporary Eternity
29 December, 2002

Looking at once,
both at and straight through you.
As if you are transparent glass
with a faint, yet visible etching.
My present belong entirely to you,
nothing held back, no reservations
Yet the future holds no hope of you
For just as the sun retreats for winter
so you must.

This moment in itself is full
It wants for nothing
It is a period no more temporary
than life on earth itself
A joy no less overtaking
event with the eminent approach of pain
Lost in you while letting go still
basking entirely in the warmth of you,
yet preparing myself for the cold void that is to come.

Is someone married here or what??

To me, you have been sold on a fantasy or, just went for it because you have a great need, and this relationship is a tempoary fill-in for a long felt empty space.

How many of us have "not" been there, very few I think. I can't say its right, but if, you feel, there is something there for you, go for it, you apparently know or feel there is price to be paid. Just knowing that much is in its self, down-payment.I hope, it hurts less, kowing that its coming, if it does in fact happen.

Good luck and take care of your heart!

Thanks

Thank you for your words of encouragement. Love is a crazy thing, it can bring so much pain, but I truely believe it is worth all the pain just to love someone and be loved!
