Autumn Leaves
21 October, 2014
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

The leaves. Oh, the leaves
Beautiful hues of fall
Stealing my thoughts from my mind

The yellows and golds
Splashing the hills with color
With hints of red and green in-between

Autumn's brisk breezes
Blowing brown to the ground
Of winter's startling chills I'm aware

Breathing deep the autumn air
So crisp, sweet and clear
Leaves crunching beneath my feet

Natures beauty perceived
A wondrous sight to behold
A season with senses pleased

------- Author's Notes -------

I do, so love the fall.

the smells

Also when there is a fire place or leaves burning always brings back fall and winter memories, excellent poem, thanks
