as she walks pass, so much stares
fingers pointing, lame comments
" what a freak"
she walks with her hair down
they will never understand
the fear in her eyes she covers with a thick dark eyeliner
her swollen lips covered in dark purple lipstick
the wounds that refused to heal
she covered with tattoos

all the unshed tears she refused to succumb to
the broken bones underneath the long dress
her heart is reaped apart with no hope of being fixed
the empty look in her eyes made invincible by the long lashes
a constant battle between good and bad on her soul
she screams for help with no hope of being heard
but through it all she is still here
right here fighting for another day
another chance to be here to be heard
