Looking For A Title?
Author: Elizabetta

Here I am,
standing on a peak
in the middle of
the mountains of my dreams.
So much lies behind me,
and more streches ahead,
Its tempting to stand here and enjoy the view,
but I won't do that
I'll go on instead.
The moon shines brigh behind me,
pulling me toward my past
But up on the horizion I see a different light
and I know must move forward.
The moon has been my constant
lighting my journey all the way
But the time has come to leave it,
and venture on alone.
For the moon, though hard to reach,
was no end in itself.
Rather it was a mean,
a companion on this most trecherous journey.
And now I'm at a cavern,
a cross road of sorts
To move forward I must leap,
to leap I must let go.
Andreluctantly I will do so,
leave my friend behind.
Because if I do make it,
I will exult in the true light.
The sun lies just across the river,
so close yet so far away.
Looking ahead I know I reach it
because looking back I see I have acquired strength.

Another River to cross?

My, how many rivers have we all had to cross? Some raging with anger, some quiet and silvery, but deep as death itself! How fortunate, I think you are Elizabetta, to have another river to cross, with the sun in front, and a beautiful Moon at your back.

You will be fine.

Thanks for sharing such beauty with us.

It's like reading a book

It's like reading a story. Love it.
