A Mothers Love.

Momma, i wanna tell you what happened the other day when i brought my family to
see you. Before i tell u what happened, promise that you will try not to laugh. You were lying there fast asleep and my children began to question me about my childhood past.

I told them how you ruled with an iron hand, insisting that i do well in school, respect myself, respect others and be the best me i can be. Then i thought about times when we didn't have much, how too often you went to bed hungry, just so that i might have something to eat.

I explained to them how you alone have instilled in me the meaning of true love,
and what family is all about.Yea ma, it's
true there were times when we didn't
have much, but a mothers love, not one
day was i without

I watched you perform miracle after miracle, sacrificing most of the things
you wanted to ensure i had all of the things i needed, when i think back on what you did with what little we had i
still find it hard to believe. I told them there is nothing more precious than a mothers love and when it's gone you
will truly rmiss it.

My youngest took a flower from my hand and laid it near you, my oldest with sad
eyes gently wiped the tears from his face.
At that moment we were about to leave,
when a slight breeze began to blow, and a
feather fell from the heavens and landed
softly on your grave.

I always knew you were and angel sent by God, see ma, only you could look at a world that is full of so much negativity and see only good things. I always knew
you were and angel sent from heaven, and now my angel has her wings.
