There Once Stood A Man

There once stood a man, who knew all that would ever be before anything ever was. His face was like a brilliant light, his eyes were like the flames in a fire, his hair was white in color and had a texture like that of wool.

His arms and his feet were the color of fine brass, as if they had been burned in a furnace and his voice had the sound like that of many waters and i said who are you and why are you here?

In a voice more commanding than all commanding voices combined, he said "i am that i am" and i have come to die so that you might live forever.

What i am saying to you on this day you must remember and never forget, that no man can take my life, for my life i freely surrender so that you might be free from that which now condemns you.

And do not let your heart be troubled, because i will not stay prisoner to the grave, on the third day of my death i will arise from it.

And unto my enemy i will leave the reward of defeat, and unto you i will place in your hand my keys to victory, because i am the beginning and the end, and whoever chooses to believe in me shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life.

Almost as quickly as he had appeared before me, he had now departed from me, but what i am telling you is the absolute truth, this was more than just a dream, for truly there once stood such a man.
