Morning Coffee
Author: Shiloh

Oh, my Lord.....
Where is the meat tenderizer mallet?
THIS is some STRONG coffee!
It growled at me from the cup,
jumped out and latched onto my shirt,
climbed up to my chin,
yanked open my mouth,
vaulted onto my tongue,
low-crawled to the back of my mouth,
taking a couple swings at that dangly thing,
stood at the edge of my throat,
yelled "AIRBORNE!"
and vaulted into the abyss,
bouncing and caroming and rebounding
from side to side all the way down
to my stomach,
where it landed with a heavy
and loud THUD....
stomped across the floor of my stomach,
turned and fell against the wall,
where it elbowed it's way
into a comfortable position,
and now it has settled in
and settled down
for a nice long nap there,
where it will take up space
for the next couple of days.
