A Lot Of Time Has Passed

A lot of time has passed,
and we are older now.
We have changed.
Nearly everything has changed.
Modern life is not even close
to the way we grew up,
the things we grew up with,
the memories we have now
of how it used to be.
If I try,
I am unable to come up with
any one thing in today's world
that makes it better
than it was,
back then.
Oh, sure, my wife,
my children...
but there were wives
and children then.
No,- of all the advances,
the wonderful things
that have come about,
of all these things,
I cannot pick one
that is as valuable to me
as what I used to have....
what I once had....
what I miss,
so very dearly.
And you know what it is,
that has changed so much
that it hurts to think about it?
People.
And the way they are today.
The world is so damned mixed up,
so damned mean and hateful,
sometimes,-
Just so damned......

So so so so true!

Wow, this is exactly how a lot of us feel nowadays, could not have written it better. So so so sad but true. The grade of people and of society is of less quality.
