It's A Special Thing...

Love is a sacred garment,
woven of fabric so thin that it cannot be seen,
yet it is so strong that not even time or mighty death
could tear it,
or remove it,
especially from memory.
It is a garment that cannot be frayed by use,
that brings warmth into what would otherwise be
an intolerably cold existence...

But at times love can also be as heavy as chain mail.
Bearing the burden of love,
on those occasions,
when it is a solemn weight,
makes it all the more precious when,
in better times,
it catches the wind in sleeves like wings -
and lifts your heart
and your spirits and your emotions,
and gives them freedom,
much like a sparrow has when it takes to the air
