I Have Seen The Tiger Smile...

I have seen the tiger smile...
I have been charmed by the beauty of it.
I have been frozen by the danger there.
I have been locked into the struggle
of the finality of it.
I have been tempted by the promise
of what it was.
I have been honored by the fact
that I was so close to it.
I have gone the rest of my life
without the pure rush of being in its presence.
The tiger was captivating, addicting,
beauty and wonder and awe
and love and hate and fear
and hurt and anger
and questions...
all at the same time....
with no answers given,
no quarter given...
I had to figure things out for myself.
It is now later on, down the line,
and I am still working on that.
But – I have seen the tiger smile
