The Minute Never Ends

We all walk along,
but sooner or later we must turn a corner,
and whether by choice or chance,
we will turn that corner,
regardless of what the turn leads to.
The hardest part of all of that,
believe me,
is being able to continue putting one foot forward of the other,
rather than turning around or stopping,
as we might feel like doing.
We must continue,
if for no other reason than to find the meaning at the end of the path.

Everyone carries feelings, thoughts, worries,
whatever, with them, constantly.
Sometimes it is heavy and difficult to labor so,
other times it is a light and fanciful bit of time,
but it is always a learning thing -
we just have to pay attention as we go along.
Most are in a hurry, though, to get there from here....

Why?

Is anything going to be changed when we finally get there?
No - however we find it when we arrive,
it will be as it should be....
for us, at that time.
Whether we hurry or take our time,
what is there for us will be what is intended for us.
We do not change things by anything we do -
quickly or slowly - we just inherit what we should,
and that will be it.
That will be our destiny,
and then we will continue to reach for our destination,
but the difficult thing will be to focus and stay on track.
Too many things are off to the sides,
and while they may beckon,
we should understand that there is no "just for a minute,"
because that minute never ends.
