And I Could Cry All Through The Night

I know it's not right....
but I can't help it.
We were once meant to be.
We lost each other
for reasons we still don't understand,
and we followed new paths,
rather than our hearts.
But I never forgot you.
You never forgot me.
I know it's not right...
but I can't help it.

I wish that it was all right,
'cause I could run through the night,
and never tire...
never tire at all.
I could cry all through the night,
and never feel the pain...
never feel the pain at all.
Though it would burn me,
hurt me,
hurt me...
I could make it through the night
again.
Like I always do.
Like I always do.
Like I have to.
I must.
I have no other choice.
Oh, how I wish that it was all right.
It isn't,
but it is, truly,
so very right.
So right.
And so sad.
And I could cry all through the night.
