You've always been a friend
Never anything more
Was it something I did to change it?
Or had you never opened that door

You know I'll always care for you
I'd never leave your side
Right now I just can't deal with it
There are something's I just can't hide

Sometimes I see myself with you
Then I wake up, it was just a dream
Or maybe it was a nightmare
Because I know it will never be

I know you're with someone you love
But that pains me more then you'll ever know
Knowing that he could have your love forever
And what I feel inside for you can never show

Maybe, as the time goes by
You'll feel the way that I do
Until then all I do is wait
For the day my dream will come true
