Another Day
4 September, 2018
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

I watch as the wrinkles of time cross my face
Each day it takes my eyes longer to recover
from the nights turbulent slumber

No longer does sleep allow me deep rest
Awakened from the aches and pains of life
or a mind that will never quiet

The question of 'is this all there is?' races past
As my hearts scars sometimes sear in pain
of the past, and some past's not so distant

The tears fall but for moment of a passing thought
Subsiding again into a page of life's reality
the struggle of life continues
