Waiting
8 December, 2021

That’s what it’s all about now.
Just waiting.
Nothing more to do to make it good,
or to make life better for myself or others,
not a damn thing left to do
except wait.
Can’t hurry things up, damnit.
That would make things better for me.
But it can’t be done.
Gotta wait.
One day it’ll happen,
and the waiting will be over.
Just hope that I am awake when it happens,
so that I will know.
For some reason, I just wanna know when it happens,
as it happens.
One last bit of rational thought –
my last bit of happiness,
knowing that it is happening,
and that tomorrow it will be different.
