Still Walking Away
28 March, 2023
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

Running away again from your heart
that feels afraid of caring too much
Pushing back the feeling with your self brought lies
Something that was never said the way you remember
You walk away

Pushing against the only good that comes your way
Fearing with the mistrust
You feel in yourself
Inventing your own self doubts
Once again walking away

A broken heart too scarred by the past
Too weak to work the love
Too saddened by a heartache long gone
You look back with longing
But you still turn and walk away
