Days go by and still no call.
Im worried, scared, and very frustrated.
Whats wrong with this picture?
Where's my dad?
Shouldnt he be home with his family?
Finally a call, but it wasnt daddy. Mom just kept saying ok and went into the other room.
We heard he crying, and then she whispered "Is he still alive?"
Again more crying but harder than before.
something was wrong, very wrong.
Soon after she came into the room,
trying to hide her tears.
"Girls, sit down for a minute i have to tell you something." she said
Thats when she told us that daddy had been in an accident, and didnt make it.
Now years later, it still eats me alive
when his birthday, and the anniverary of his death comes around.
We'll make it, were strong I tell mom.
He's looking down un us, protecting us.
Just remember that he will always love us.
