Reality Of Dreaming

The room pitched black not a single light.
I close my eyes and pull the covers tight.
The world turns into a large movie screen.
Welcome to the premier of my latest dream.

Pictures float inside of my mind.
Flashing repeatedly one at a time.
I can see all of my far, distant friends.
In my head I pray for the night to never end.

I see a beautiful, angel walking near.
Now my dream is a nightmare.
I react to her beauty by being dumb.
I wish she had not come.

If it had not been for my stupidity,
She might not have left so quickly.
I make a dream a nightmare you see,
And the same events occur in reality.

My brain predicts what could've occured,
Then puts it into my dream.
Where I hear very awful words.
I can't believe how real dreams can seem!

Would she have really been so mean?

I feel relief when the good dreams come back,
And save my chest from that heart attack.
What if it were really true?
I have no clue what I would do,

If she hated me.
But maybe she does find me a pest.
Just me, no different from the rest,
But I want to be special, I want her to see.

The good dreams are filled with happy times.
My best friend has a major role,
In the play I call "My Life"
I really love her, her name is Nicole.

I sudden emptiness fills my heart.
Soon, another day will start.
I cherish the dreams that I remember,
But some I forget, I hope I remember.

I don't want to wake up and start another day,
But what else is there to do when the dreams drift away?
The alarm clock's monotonous tone,
Jolts through my body, I'm now alone.
