Partisan Politics

For days now I have waited
For you to make your case.

I presented mine to you,
And had to shove it in your face.

I slapped you with my evidence,
Waiting for your counter point.

But as you've done throughout this war,
You only disappoint.

If your cause had been worthwhile,
I would have had a fight.

But you never threw a punch at me,
Just whined and cried with spite.

You try to sound so righteous,
You demand I show regard,

To that which under pressure,
Folded like a house of cards.

If your case you did present,
In an honest court of law,

And if your life were on the line,
It would be your last hurrah.

You have no leg to stand on,
And I have shown the proof.

It even got, there toward the end,
To look more like a spoof.

Not one of you self righteous ones,
Could present a descent case,

For justifying Kosovo,
While calling this war a disgrace.

But I see you for what you are,
I'm on to you and your tricks.

The difference between Kosovo and Iraq,
Was partisan politics.

I remember this one too.

You've nailed it on the head. I have family members who are opposed to Iraq but were telling me I needed to support Clinton in Kosovo. I don't see much difference between the two wars myself, and I have supported neither. You make some good arguments, and point out the hypocrisy of my family members and people like them. I love my family, but you're right in saying this is about the president and not the war. At least it is with them.

love lost to intervention

Well said but please take no offense I wonder if one has a plan to ignor or to intervene. Is it black or white paper not to be signed with indecision on oppression? Clinton or Bush have a little more knowlege and aids than what I can come up with. I believe all Americans are against any war anywhere yet will not let a neighbor suffer without aid. Heck, look at US presidents that gave their lives for the call of freedom. If they did not the we wouldn't be America anymore might one think?

I agree Roy, as long as you're consistent.

If you're a conservative who supported both Iraq and Kosovo, or a liberal who protested both wars, more power to you. But if you cheered one and geared the other, then it's just about your politics! You don't really give a damn about our soldiers or the casualties of war. As with the Hollywood compost heap who asked us to support Kosovo then told us to protest Iraq, its not about the loss of life at all. It's about you, and your frikin' politics.

I don no

Politics is outta my understanding, it's an animal of the other kind that will wags it's tail and bite you in the hand at the same time
