Never Knowing When To Stop

You said you'd do it for a minute.
but it was more than that.
Now i fell more ashamed.
And you know why that is.
You just kept on going, never having the thought to stop.
Until I said it's getting late have to go home.
It all ended with a promise for me to call the day after it happened.
