A Little Still Left

They tell me to get on with my life
Start over not being your wife
I try day in and out
But what we had I can't seem to forget about

I think back to the times before
Back before you shut the door
The times of laughter and smiles
A smile that would go on for miles

A laugh that only you could do
A love that I only wanted to share with you
Where did we go wrong??

I'm listening to our song,
Thinking of the time that you sang to me
What a day that was.
You know you never could carry a key

My whole world shattered the day you said good-bye
Everything inside just seemed to have died
When you told me what you did, I didn't even cry
For there was no feeling let inside

I have been hurt by you beyond belief
Will my heart ever have any relief?
I try and try
When I see you not to cry

I don't know why I do
I guess deep down I must still have some feelings for you.....
I will stand my ground
Because I didn't deserve a man that ran around.
