Destiny

vinebar

many many minutes went by
and i saw a glow in my palm
piping hot with not a drop
of patience, whats going on?
slowly we learn to use
what destiny has given us
but so many are headed away
on a smelly city bus
someday there will be a star
someday there will be a crook
someday there will be a bagman
a rich man checking his pocket book
each of us feed off of
the wealth of another
even if the wealth belongs to
our loving younger bother
this is what was planned out
will you choose to fight destiny?
or will you lay out your hand and take
your scheduled bullsh*t happily?
i choose to listen
i choose to speak
but in the end i have
stayed quite weak
what i will never quite learn
is where and when we turn
into something out of control
something artificial and cold
