A Thousand Tears

am missing those days, and things you used to say,
Our memories are fading, but I want them to stay,
Our love will never die, I won’t let it fade,
I’ll treasure everything, every memory we’ve made,
Your eyes are still the same, and forever they will be,
Just like your smile, when you’re smiling back at me,
Your arms that held me, in times when I needed someone,
No one can ever replace you, that can never be done,
The image of you, you’re still walking towards me,
A spirit now, though, but finally you are free,
A picture’s worth a thousand words, but yours is not,
Yours is worth a thousand tears, each one of them I’ve got,
I know you love me, for your love will never die,
I love you just the same, it’s just hard to say goodbye,
I won’t say that, goodbye implies something too long,
I will say “Until next time,” that will help me move on,
I’ll see you in my dreams, each night when I think of you,
That’s the way it has to be, until these dreams come true,
Until next time daddy, I’ll dream of you or at least try,
This is not the last I’ll see you, so no need to say goodbye…
