You used to call me all these names,
But to this day it's me I blame,
Then I saw you the other day,
And nice things were all you'd say,
It surprised me to see you not being mean,
It surprised me to see you not cause a scene,
I guess it just surprised me to see you,
I just hope everything you said was true,
You all played me once pretending to be there,
But really it was a joke and you didn't even care,
I am scared to be hurt once more,
It hurt enough just before,
I don't feel sympathetic towards myself,
Neither do I feel this way for someone else,
I hurt you and you hurt me,
It's an eye for an eye and I can't see,
I'm sick of acting this way with you,
I hope to god your sick of it too,
We need to act the age we are,
Or our friendship will never go far,
Our friendships like a flower that hasn't yet bloomed,
So all I see right now is something to be doomed,
Until I know for sure you're true,
I will have to watch out for you,
I will talk to you and be nice as well,
But as for you I cannot tell,
Just please don't hurt me like you had,
I was hurt so extremely bad,
Times are changing and I hope you are too,
Say true to yourself girl and just remember to be you..
