Mr. Sunday Man

You tell me I’m a sinner and I know it’s true
But brother lets take a good look at you.
You drink, you Drug, and you curse and fight
But come Sunday morning everything is all right.
You live your life behind a mask
And go about doing your little Sunday task.
Now I know I’m no better if I criticize
But I don’t live life behind a Christian disguise.
You lead a two-face life as if it were a dare
But come judgment day, no peace will you share.
You set no example for those you teach
So maybe you should start to practice what you preach.
You denounce god in your own little ways
But least you forget that numbered are your days.
For every soul you’ve somehow helped to get lost
Their blood is on your hands and you’ll pay the cost.
So here is a warning “you had better take heed”
And straighten up this “Christian” life that you lead.
Just ask the lord to help you understand
Then come talk to me of salvation on a weekday
Mr. Sunday Man.

Good God From Zion!

That was one heck of a poem! You not only get an Oscar for this one, but a Golden Globe too! Nice words! These are the type of people who are weekday saints and weekend demons!

RIGHT ON LCN! RIGHT ON!
Preach it LCN!
Smiley face,
Meri
