Yesterdays poem was filled with love
Filled with emotions for you
It spoke words of how much you meant to me
It spoke of my feelings so true
Yesterdays poem was written with a smile
Written with a warmth in my heart
It made me closer to you somehow
Made us feel less apart
But, yesterdays poem was yesterdays poem
Todays is something new
Todays is written with a tear in my eye
Todays is a goodbye to you
